vowed: michelle + steven

i adored these two almost from the moment they walked in the door at the starbucks, where we met to talk about their wedding plans. they are bright, genuine, and full of life and loooooove. then, after shooting their engagement photos i was completely sold on them. so it was an honor and delight to spend their wedding day bearing witness to their unique and true-blue love.

they were wed at historic bowens mills, a place that transports you through time back to another era, where cars didn't exist, women spun their own fibers, and blacksmiths were in high demand. the day was unseasonably warm (in the high 70s on october?!). steven's sweet daughter annalise, along with the flower girls, contributed a certain magic to the day. and the fall themes of apple red, cider, and autumn leaves were just right.

this wedding also had several truly one-of-a-kind features to it. for instance, a unity TREE that michelle and steven watered, and later planted in the yard of their shared home. and a family unification ceremony, in which michelle got to commit herself to annalise (there were tears, you'd better believe!).

a million thanks to steven and michelle for letting me in on this day.
