nicolette wanted to give her husband a birthday gift of boudoir or pin-up photography. which i think is one of the sexiest, boldest, most loving gifts a woman could give to her husband. but when nicolette asked me if i would be the photographer for this project, at first i turned her down. i wasn't sure i wanted to get into this particular genre of photography. but then i thought to myself, "it is good to challenge yourself." besides that, this is safe person to experiment on this with.so we went back and forth a bit about style preferences. we decided on something subtly suggestive, elegant, and vintage. we knew we were NOT going for racy, porn-like, or vulgar. with these parameters in mind, we got to work. while our husbands were out for a beer, we took a little over and hour to create the images you see here (and lots more that you don't get to see -- they're for jason!).
i'm not trying to make this my new niche, but nicolette has been urging me to consider making myself available to other women who want a similar sort of gift to give their husbands. she said,
I really think if you enjoyed doing this you could easily create a niche for yourself you have an amazing eye. I think your couples shots are awesome, but dude your pin-up photos are beautiful. I mean your creativity shines through on these and I think people would LOVE for you to make them feel sensual. Few and far between women believe they are beautiful...so, if you're reading this, and you think you'd like to do something like this, you can email me (brooke at brookecollierphoto dot com) and we'll can talk more about it. ;)
