vowed: anneke + joel

yup, i just posted their engagement photos not long ago. that's because they were taken one week before their wedding. better late than never, right?

anneke is my sister-in-law's sister. so i've known her for a while, from those times when my family and hers have both been together. and she's sweet and smart, and her husband is upright and gentle. their wedding reflected their utter lack of pretension, their convictions of faith, and their enjoyment of family. it was so easy to be with them, and to capture this day.

also fun was the fact that they were married in the same church that i attended when i was in high school, and the one where my brother got married to anneke's sister. it's a special place, even if it could use some interior design renovation. ;)

well, without further ado, the photos...

classic beauty right here.

anneke is quick to laugh.
just before first sight. i LOVE these moments...
oh, sweet sisterhood...
this is a gorgeous crew of women, is it not?
and these handsome guys. all so very j. crew.
the same chemistry in their engagement photos showed up on their wedding day, too.

and a sweet kiss to the forehead.

this is four generation of women in anneke's family.
anneke's mom helps straighten her dad's tie before the ceremony. i love these little "side moments"
two violinists played the processional and recessional.

a little pre-marital advice from a friend.
and some scripture and prayer with her girls.

toasts from her sisters.
and from joel's best man.

this is such a cool thing. anneke's grandparents "won" in the dance for who is married the longest (60 years!). so they got a gift.
you can tell these two have fun together.
grandma dancing with her grand daughters.
'twas a great dance party.
