duet: lon + linda

my sweet mom- and dad-in-law asked me if i would take some photos of them on the occasion of their 35th wedding anniversary. of course i said yes! first of all, all of us kids haven't much in the way of recent photographs of them and tim and i would, for selfish reasons, like to have one to hang in our house in Michigan. and also, 35 years is worth celebrating, is it not?! it always encourages my heart to see couples who've made it for decades in love and commitment, with no sign of slowing.

linda-mom and lon-dad have been so accepting of me as the most recent addition to the collier clan. even though they only got to meet me a handful of times (or maybe only twice?) before i was engaged to their son, they did not protest about us moving too fast, and instead celebrated us right from the beginning. and they made the drive to Michigan for our wedding, through the middle of the night, to be with us on our special day. i'm so grateful to them for also offering a welcoming and homey place to come this year when i was so far away from my own home... i could always go to theirs.
